German-Italian partnership celebrations
Our goal is to increase the understanding of people from different nations for each other. To this end, we organise regular meetings with our friends from the Unione Montana Acquacheta in Emilia Romagna.
German-Italian partnership celebrations
In consultation with the Italian partnership committee, the meetings take place every two years, alternately in Hofbieber or in the Unione. The partnership festival is the highlight of the themed citizens' meeting lasting several days. The guests organise the partnership festival with culinary specialities and performances from their region. Private accommodation for the guests is preferred. The participants learn about the history of the respective country, experience everyday life, gain insights into different areas of art, culture, manufacturing companies and the world of work, and also learn interesting facts about tradition and customs.

in cooperation with the Open Air Museum Fladungen/Rhön as an interactive programme, the Labour and Social Court of Fulda, visits to local farms and the show baking of old grain varieties with Fabio Cappelletti from Dovadola (FC).

09-12.09. 2010 in Rocca San Casiano
Round trip to get to know the Unione Montana Acquacheta
with visit of the 5 communities, Modigliana, Tredozio, Dovadola, Rocca San Casciano, Portico e San Benedetto, visit of the Parco nazionale foreste casentinesi with hike to the Acquacheta waterfall.
30 people from the community of Hofbieber serve 200 portions of soup, roast pork, dumplings, red cabbage and local beer.
04-10.09. 2013 in San Benedetto in Alpe
"Bandiera Arancione" (beauty of nature, architecture, use of renewable energies, waste recycling, optimal preservation of historical centres)
with visit of the cultural sites in Forli and Ravenna
51 people from the municipality of Hofbieber served 200 portions of pumpkin cream soup, chicken strips with leek and bacon, parsley potatoes, turnip vegetables and sour cream with forest fruits.

31 people from the Hofbieber community served 200 portions of cream of pea soup with roasted onions, schnitzel "Rhöner Art" with herb sour cream, leek potatoes and honey carrots, fruit dessert "Tricolore Germania".
